  • Description

    • Support the Quality Manager in strategy and continuous improvement planning.
    • Lead and direct teams for systemic quality improvement projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Applies knowledge of quality systems, practices and tools to improve the quality of the processes and products in support of meeting the quality and business goals of the organization.
    • Collect and evaluate statistical data and take appropriate measures.
    • Communicate issues or opportunities for improvement identified during quality assurance activities and provide recommended process improvements
    • Analyze and implement customer requirements into existing systems and processes
    • Evaluate product and process change requests to ensure product and process quality is maintained.
    • Resolve problems, make process improvements and respond to internal and external customer inquiries regarding quality issues.
    • Lead and/or support the APQP Process for new products and processes.
    • Interface with customers and suppliers on quality related issues.
    • As necessary, train internal and external personal on internal and industry standards, requirements and continuous improvement tools.
    • Duties may be modified or assigned at any time to meet the needs of the business

     

    Qualifications

    The successful candidate will have a BS in Engineering or related technical discipline. ASQ and AS9100 Lead Auditor certification desired.  Minimum 5 years of experience in an AS9100 Aerospace environment required. Must have working knowledge of proven quality techniques, procedures, instruments, equipment, principles and concepts.
