This position is responsible for testing various bearing products and materials as requested by Development Lab Engineers. Assemble static and dynamic test fixtures and machines properly to conduct precision tests. Maintain and improve bearing test lab with regard to cleanliness and organization of tools and test samples. Will report test results using MS Office software (Excel and Word). Perform a variety of tasks as needed for Development Engineers which may include prototype production. Prepare detail drawings from sketches using Solidworks CAD software.
The ideal candidate will be motivated, self starting individual who works well in a team and interacting with other departments. Must have good communication skills, strong attention to detail and be able to handle multiple priorities. Candidate must have good mechanical skills and understanding of various mechanisms, hydraulics, pneumatics and basic electrical knowledge. An Associate’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology is preferred or equivalent work experience.
