JOB SUMMARY: This position reports to the Divisional Sales Manager and will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Inside Sales Department. The position requires strong leadership skills with the ability to apply management techniques based on the company’s policies and procedures as well as education and experience.  The Inside Sales Supervisor must have the ability to interface with all levels of management both internally and externally.  The Inside Sales Supervisor will be required to perform the following actions:


DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: This position reports directly to the Inside Sales Supervisor.  


  • Collaboration with the Divisional Sales Manager, directing and assisting in the development of sales for the Chatsworth Precision Division and myonic USA;
  • Managing and training Inside Sales personnel in all aspects of related sales operations such as communication both internally and externally, collaboration with Field Sales, pro-active customer service, export control, purchase order review including terms and conditions review and product knowledge;
  • Overseeing all office functions including, but not limited to: Order Processing, Returned Materials, Finished Goods Allocation, and Change Order Processing;
  • Managing the development of sales automation (order processing, demand management and engineering transmittal forms) for key accounts and target customers.
  •  Assisting in the development and achievement of divisional strategic sales objectives;
  •  Providing support to field sales organization;
  • Attend meetings, as needed;
  • Collaborate with Inside sales to provide pricing guidelines to maximize profitability for the division
  • Create and maintain a customer database to monitor which customers we are managing their demand via a web portal and coordinate with production control on safety stock orders;·     Create and maintain a database regarding reviewed/negotiated terms and conditions for purchase orders under $100K, and ensure Inside Sales is implementing these terms on customer purchase orders;
  • Support other departments (Applications Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, and Production Control);
  • Responsible for coordinating weekly production control meeting with Inside Sales;
  • Establishing and monitoring office policies, procedures, and instructions;
  • Partner with field sales monthly on the top 25 quotes for Precision and myonic USA in an effort to close orders.
  • Ability to analyze cost and pricing data, sales and quote histories to assist in negotiating key contracts and price agreements;
  • Customer involvement through telephone contact and personal visits to help strengthen relationships;
  • Assist in negotiating terms and conditions on purchase orders over $100K;
  • Assist when needed in the research of component availability for reduced lead-time offering;
  • Responsible for Export Control Administration, ensuring that NHBB complies with U.S. export control regulations, such as the Export Administration Regulations ("EAR") and the International Traffic in Arms Regulations ("ITAR");
  • Filing necessary export licensing requirements such as application forms and all other required forms/documents and ensuring that instructions/guidelines for completing those required forms/documents are followed fully;
  • Filing classification requests;
  • Ensuring compliance with applicable restrictions and record-keeping requirements;
  • Keeping up-to-date on export regulations affecting NHBB;
  • Communicating requirements and changes to appropriate NHBB individuals and entities;
  • Following the day-to-day procedures to ensure that all orders are checked against: 1) the Denied Persons List ("DPL") and all other restricted parties Lists (e.g.: Entity List & Unverified Parties List);   2) Specially Designated Nationals List;   3) the Debarred List;   4) High Risk Diversion Profile; 5) Chemical and Biological Weapons Restrictions; (6) Missile Restrictions; 7) Nuclear Restrictions; 8) Embargoes; and 9) Antiboycott compliance;
  • Assuring that all orders destined for export have the required license prior to shipping from an NHBB facility;
  • Attending training seminars and training personnel involved in exports;
  • Communicating effectively with NHBB personnel regarding their export-related responsibilities and regulations that control the sale, export and reexport of NHBB products and know-how;
  • Create, update and maintain NHBB products description list to comply with export control record-keeping requirements and to include such updated products description list in the export control Compliance Manual;
  • Maintaining and distributing within NHBB the DPL and all other restricted parties Lists (e.g.: Entity List & Unverified Parties List), Specially Designated Nationals List and Debarred List updates and correspondence on export regulatory requirements, and maintaining records of this correspondence as required;
  • Verifying the implementation of and compliance with NHBB's export control procedures; and assisting and performing annual export control audits.
  • Upon receipt of orders, performing DPL (formerly TDO), Specially Designated Nationals List and Debarred List checks and screening orders for "red flag" factors in the High Risk For Diversion Profile;
  • Ensuring compliance with other applicable export restrictions by performing checks against chemical and biological weapons restrictions; missile restrictions; Munitions List; nuclear restrictions; embargoes; and antiboycott compliance.
  1. Review of international packing slips to ensure that the correct information is supplied by the offshore NHBB designated representatives for End-User/End Use and determination of whether an Export license is required;
  2. Filing of Department of State Export licenses and license application Log.


4 year degree required.

Demonstrated leadership skills

Prior inside ales experience in a manufacturing environment

AS400/Maipics knowledge

Strong Microsoft Excel skills required

Travel required (as needed).

Strong organizational & communication skills
