Job Summary:

The primary responsibility of the Facilities Manager is to coordinate the administrative and operational staff, systems, and activities that ensure optimal functioning and maintenance of all building properties and compliance to all health, safety and environmental standards.





·       Facilitate and oversee environmental management system

·       Direct the maintenance of all building systems including mechanical, electrical, fire/life safety, plumbing, and waste management

·       Coordinate system repairs and monitor system performance

·       Prepare and implement preventive maintenance schedules

·       Manage and trains a staff of employees in the general maintenance of buildings, grounds, infrastructures, equipment

·       Ensure facilities maintenance work follows safety standards, conforms to specifications, and work orders are tracked and completed within the budgeted guidelines

·       Oversee contractors engaged for facility renovation projects

·       Ensure that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets

·       Manage subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs

·       Responsible for complying with all local and state safety requirements for the building including employee training, facility inspections and security of the premises

·       Seek out ways to cut costs while adequately maintaining the business premises

·       Create a budget for all expenditures and work throughout the year to keep costs within the budgeted amount

·       Coordinate security, sanitation and grounds maintenance personnel

·       Maintain adequate parts inventory and order items as necessary

·       Execute equipment audits and record taking requirements

·       Coordinate with appropriate personnel on the capital improvement projects

·       Be an active member of the accident/incident investigation team for the purpose of improving overall safety and reducing workplace injuries







Bachelor's degree in a technical field

Hazardous Waste Coordinator certification and Hazpower certification

Working knowledge of EPA, DES and ISO14001 requirements.

Experience maintaining world class environmental performance

Strong understanding of warehouse control systems

Working knowledge of electrical, mechanical and HVAC systems

Able to read and understand complex electrical, mechanical and automation systems

Minimum of 7 years of progressive and proven experience in the electrical/electronics, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatics fields are required and the ability to demonstrate high proficiency in these areas.

Demonstrated leadership skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Excellent project management skills
